This is an ongoing series called ‘Omocha’, which is the Japanese word for toy. It is inspired by traditional Japanese folk toys, the majority of which strive to signify wishes of good fortune and the healthy upbringing of the children who possess them. These handmade toys are simple, yet charming and full of character, which is totally aligned with my style and they essentially just make me smile. I simply hoped to extend a similar joy outwards with my own modern twist.
